International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma Programme (DP)
Year 12 & 13 Overview
Verita International School is an authorized IB World School for the Diploma Programme. As an IB World School offering the Diploma Programme, we are part of a global community of schools committed to developing knowledgeable, caring young people who will be ready to negotiate their futures successfully and make contributions resulting in a more harmonious and peaceful world.
The International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma Programme (DP) is a 2 year curriculum designed for Year 12 and 13 students.
The Programme is delivered in English at Verita International School and a wide variety of courses are offered within the programme to cater to the needs and interests of various students. These include the Theory of Knowledge (TOK) courses, the Extended Essay (EE), and the Creativity, Activity, and Service (CAS) programme. These provide IB Diploma students with experiences and abilities that they won’t find in other programmes. Universities welcome IB Diploma graduates because the curriculum fosters the development of a balanced range of abilities.
IB Diploma holders have more options for undergraduate programmes due to the variety of disciplines they have studied. Many colleges and universities have created their own policies regarding recognition, and although the specific policies differ widely, they all share one thing in common: they demonstrate that the institutions recognise and value the Diploma Programme graduate as well as the difficulty of the Diploma Programme itself.
