This December, Dukes Education hosted its Annual Awards Evening, celebrating the achievements of its schools and the outstanding individuals who make a meaningful difference to pupils, colleagues, and the wider community.
Two of our colleagues were recognised for their dedication, professionalism, and impact:
- Luisa Lima, Year 5C Lead Teacher, received the Pastoral Care Award, honouring the care, empathy, and guidance she brings to her students each day. Luisa’s work reflects the deep commitment we place on student wellbeing and meaningful relationships at Verita.
- Our congratulations also go to Doria Drăghiciu, Deputy Head of Secondary, who was awarded the Service Above and Beyond Award. This distinction recognises her exceptional dedication and the consistent support for our community.

Ahead of the awards ceremony, Luisa and Doria were invited to a private visit of Dukes House in London, where they connected with fellow award recipients from across Europe. The visit, led by David Fitzgerald, included an inspiring talk from Aatif Hassan, Chairman of Dukes, and offered a meaningful glimpse into the wider Dukes community—setting the tone for a truly memorable evening.

We are incredibly proud to see Verita so beautifully represented on an international stage. We are grateful, Luisa and Doria, for everything you do for our students and for living our values every single day!
