Primary School Teacher

Primary school teachers are responsible for planning, teaching, and assessing the Verita curriculum.  They are expected to maintain a thorough understanding of both subject matter and pedagogy.  Primary teachers are expected to treat their students with kindness and respect and to provide them with an outstanding international education that inspires students to achieve their full potential.

The successful candidate must have excellent English, a valid teaching certificate, and a minimum of two years prior teaching experience, and most importantly, you must love working with young people.

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Knowledge of up-to-date teaching pedagogy
  • Knowledge of a range of learning styles of students ages 6-11
  • Skilled at differentiation

Primary areas of responsibility & accountability:

  • Planning and Preparation.
  • Prepare for assigned classes and show written evidence of preparation.
  • Establish and articulate clear objectives for all lessons, units, and projects to students.
  • Link instructional objectives to the Verita curriculum.
  • Guide the learning process toward the achievement of curriculum goals.

Secondary areas of responsibility & accountability:

  • Be involved in extra-curricular activities
  • Be involved in service learning

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education / Certification:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field
  • Fluency in the English language
  • Valid teaching certificate or equivalent
  • Minimum of two years prior teaching experience (recommended)

PERSONAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Enjoys working with children
  • Willing and able to work collaboratively
  • Possesses a positive attitude

Primary Teacher Assistant

Do you speak excellent English? Do you have experience working with children? Do you have the drive to succeed as a Teaching Assistant in an excellent international school? Your role as a Primary Teaching Assistant is to immerse yourself in all aspects of classroom life, to help nurture and support pupils in all areas of their learning. We hope to appoint someone who is passionate about education and fully committed to getting the best out those they support.

ICT Teacher

This job is only open for local Romanian candidates.

We are looking for an outstanding ICT Middle School Teacher, an innovator with a passion for the newest educational tools and a reliable colleague to teach our Year7, 8 and 9 students.

The successful candidate must have excellent English, a valid teaching certificate and a minimum of two years prior teaching experience. Experience with teaching ICT is preferable.

The ICT teacher is responsible for planning, teaching and assessing the ICT curriculum for Years, 8 and 9 according to the vision and mission at Verita.

All our teachers are expected to treat their students with kindness and respect and provide them with an outstanding international education that inspires them to achieve their full potential.

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Knowledge of up-to-date  pedagogy
  • Knowledge of a range of learning styles of students ages 11-18
  • Skilled at differentiation
  • Curriculum development skills
  • Preferably experience with IMYC

Primary areas of responsibility & accountability:

  • Planning lessons and activities that facilitate students’ acquisition of basic and advanced computer skills
  • Teaching, according to students’ educational needs
  • Observing and managing classroom dynamics
  • Promoting the progress and academic development of pupils, differentiating for ability where appropriate
  • Assessing, recording and reporting on the development, progress and attainment of pupils
  • Writing report cards twice a year
  • Maintaining efficient communication with the pupils’ families

We have one position available to start in August.

This job is only open for local Romanian candidates and EU.

We are looking for an outstanding Spanish and ELL Middle School Teacher  , an innovator with a passion for the newest educational tools and a reliable colleague to teach our Year  7, 8 and 9 students.

The successful candidate must be a proficient/native speaker of Spanish,  have excellent English, a valid teaching certificate and a minimum of two years prior teaching experience. Experience with teaching English as a Second Language is preferable.

The Spanish-English teacher is responsible for planning, teaching and assessing the Spanish curriculum for Years, 8 and, according to the vision and mission at Verita and supporting our Secondary ELL students to improve their English Language skills.

All our teachers are expected to treat their students with kindness and respect and provide them with an outstanding international education that inspires them to achieve their full potential.

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Knowledge of up-to-date  pedagogy
  • Knowledge of a range of learning styles of students ages 11-18
  • Skilled at differentiation
  • Curriculum development skills
  • Preferably experience with IMYC, IGCSE or IBDP

Primary areas of responsibility & accountability:

  • Planning and preparing appropriate courses and lessons in accordance with departmental and school policy;
  • Teaching, according to students’ educational needs
  • Promoting the progress and academic development of pupils, differentiating for ability where appropriate;
  • Assessing, recording and reporting on the development, progress and attainment of pupils;
  • Preparing students for and participating appropriately in the school’s internal and external examinations.
  • Writing report cards twice a year
  • Maintaining efficient communication with the pupils’ families

We have two positions available to start in August.

This is a full-time position.
